Challenge

Challenge

Buyers and suppliers did not just need a place to store records. They needed a real collaboration system with posts, comments, visibility settings, product and supplier evaluations, SupplyIQ data, CostIQ reports, audit history, notifications for significant changes, and traceable decisions across the workflow.

Approach

Approach

  1. Worked through requirement analysis with the client to clarify business goals, buyer/supplier roles, required data, and audit-trail flows.
  2. Designed the system around a React frontend, Node.js/Express backend, and PostgreSQL database, with scalability, performance, and security as first-order concerns.
  3. Implemented the social posting mechanism in React with a rich text editor, visibility settings, comments, and replies inside the shared workspace.
  4. Built the Smart Connect scorecard with React components so buyers and suppliers could evaluate products and make more informed decisions.
  5. Developed SupplyIQ with Node.js/Express and PostgreSQL so suppliers could showcase product details, preserve audit history, and trigger notifications for significant updates.
  6. Built CostIQ with more complex data modeling to generate Cost Intelligence reports, analyze production costs, and forecast future expenses.
  7. Handled testing, usability checks, cross-browser/cross-device QA, AWS deployment, and ongoing maintenance for stable operation.

Expected result

Expected result

  • Social posting improved communication between buyers and suppliers, with clear visibility and discussions kept in the right work context.
  • The Smart Connect scorecard made product and supplier evaluation more structured, supporting better purchase decisions and product quality.
  • SupplyIQ improved transparency through product details, audit history, and notifications when important information changed.
  • CostIQ gave suppliers a Cost Intelligence layer for production-cost analysis, expense forecasting, and efficient PostgreSQL-backed data storage.
  • AWS deployment gave the platform a scalable, reliable, and secure operating base for multi-party collaboration.

Next case

SharePoint-based intake and production forms

The business already used Excel on SharePoint, but warehouse intake, production reporting, and stock checks still required too much manual spreadsheet work. OPERCEL built dedicated web forms connected through Microsoft Graph and n8n, keeping the workbook as the source of truth while making daily input easier.
